TL;DR: WA Spark is privacy-first. The Chrome extension runs 100% locally on your device. The web chat analyzer processes everything client-side. We collect zero personal data.

1. Information We Collect

Chrome Extension

WA Spark's Chrome extension operates entirely within your browser. It does not transmit any data to external servers. All message processing, contact management, and analytics happen locally on your device.

Web Chat Analyzer

The web-based chat analyzer at waspark.io/analyze processes your exported WhatsApp chat files entirely in the browser using client-side JavaScript. Your chat data never leaves your device and is discarded when you close the page.

Website Analytics

We may collect anonymous, aggregated usage statistics (page views, referral sources) through privacy-respecting analytics. No personal information or IP addresses are stored.

2. How We Use Information

Since we collect virtually no data, there is very little to use. Anonymous website analytics, if collected, are used solely to improve the website experience and understand which features are most popular.

3. Data Storage

All extension data (settings, templates, contact lists) is stored in your browser's local storage via the Chrome Extension Storage API. This data stays on your device and syncs only through your own Chrome profile if you have Chrome Sync enabled. We have no access to this data.

4. Third-Party Services

  • Chrome Web Store distributes the extension and handles installs. Subject to Google's privacy policy.
  • Payment Processor: if you purchase a Pro subscription, payment is handled by our third-party payment provider. We do not store credit card details.

5. Your Rights

You are in full control of your data at all times. Uninstalling the WA Spark extension removes all locally stored data. Clearing your browser data has the same effect. No account creation is required to use the extension.

6. Children's Privacy

WA Spark is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of WA Spark after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
